We have a fabulous Dining Service and every month they offer a special cooking demonstration. This month was “Samosa,” an Indian spiced potato and vegetable pastry.

Recently our community started to gather the plants from outside to bring inside and the result has been a little green house effect. One of our residents really takes ownership in trimming and keeping them vibrant!
The Resident Chorus Concert was absolutely fantastic! 12 songs where sung by 16 residents who did an awesome job.
Our residents had a blast decorating our trees in the Main Lobby and W Lounge. It was a fun, annual activity for all! The trees were decorated very nicely.
Watermark prides itself on its intergenerational programs. Recently we had students from Greens Farm Academy bring hand made placements from elementary children for the residents. The students at Greens Farm helped the elementary students make the placemats. They were a delightful group of 7th graders.
Every month at The Watermark at 3030 Park we have a cooking demonstration, so why would this month be any different. This month our chefs baked a pumpkin pie for the residents. It was delicious!
On Friday, November 10th we recognized all of our veterans who live here at The Watermark at 3030 Park. There were 26 veterans who filled the auditorium with family, friends and residents. At The Watermark at 3030 Park we have a minimum of four outings per month. Recently we have gone to the Cooper Hewitt Museum in NYC and the Botanical Gardens in NY. Many residents enjoy the cultural genre and others also love going out on a mystery dinner.
Last week we had beautiful weather so we decided to bring the yoga class to the outdoors! We were fortunate enough to have a shaded location just outside of the fitness center. All who attended enjoyed it very much!
This week a group of residents went shopping at Clinton Crossings and stopped to have lunch at Fish Tales Restaurant. It was a gorgeous day!
Recently, we had the pleasure of having the SOBs – Society of Orpheus and Bacchus – from Yale University perform for us. A beautiful and fun idea was presented to us by an associate from dining services to make sweetheart roses and candlestick centerpieces. We had 10 residents participate in putting together these masterpieces. They look terrific and were used for decoration in their apartments.
The main lobby was full of spirit when Lynn & Kat sang, played the guitar and told a joke or two to a group of residents who enjoyed every minute of it!
The Watermark at 3030 Park in Bridgeport recently hosted a Caribbean jazz concert led by former member of the contemporary jazz group, Spyro Gyra, and Watermark resident, Dave Samuels. Samuels was joined by local musicians including Vince Cherico, who played alongside Samuels in the Dave Samuels & The Caribbean Jazz Project.

Our community offers a Mystery Dinner once per month. They love to dine out with a surprise menu! There are at least 2 outings per month to various museums and other interesting places to see. Many of trips are requested by our residents. We love to accommodate and they have great time!
