Our residents had a blast decorating our trees in the Main Lobby and W Lounge. It was a fun, annual activity for all! The trees were decorated very nicely.
Watermark prides itself on its intergenerational programs. Recently we had students from Greens Farm Academy bring hand made placements from elementary children for the residents. The students at Greens Farm helped the elementary students make the placemats. They were a delightful group of 7th graders.
On Friday, November 10th we recognized all of our veterans who live here at The Watermark at 3030 Park. There were 26 veterans who filled the auditorium with family, friends and residents. Residents of The Inn and Gardens enjoyed a step-by-step instruction based painting class hosted by the Giggling Pig. This lesson was painting a dandelion blowing in the breeze and residents got to take these paintings back home with them. Giggling Pig will be back on May 17th at 3:00pm in the Health Center.

A beautiful and fun idea was presented to us by an associate from dining services to make sweetheart roses and candlestick centerpieces. We had 10 residents participate in putting together these masterpieces. They look terrific and were used for decoration in their apartments.
The main lobby was full of spirit when Lynn & Kat sang, played the guitar and told a joke or two to a group of residents who enjoyed every minute of it!
Our very own Art Therapist, Clare Chapman, teaches residents in our Gardens neighborhood an art class each Monday. Today was filled with vibrant watercolors. Residents copied their own take on images of flowers and birds with beautiful bright colors.
The Watermark at 3030 Park in Bridgeport recently hosted a Caribbean jazz concert led by former member of the contemporary jazz group, Spyro Gyra, and Watermark resident, Dave Samuels. Samuels was joined by local musicians including Vince Cherico, who played alongside Samuels in the Dave Samuels & The Caribbean Jazz Project.

Residents of our health center received a great treat from the Girl Scouts from Stratfield. The girls brought their best singing voices to carol with our residents, and handed out Christmas ornaments to hang from our trees. It was a great way to end a Friday!

On July 21st we had a birthday celebration for all the birthdays in July. The party was provided with live entertainment by singer George Gall. The Health Center was filled with excitement, dancing, and singing as they enjoyed a freshly made strawberry birthday cake by our Watermark Chef Michael.

Today Central High School Students came and spent an active afternoon with our residents. The Students put together a project called the “Flower Garland Service Project”. This project is to benefit Nepal.

Our residents joined Carol Cortina on a journey of Madame Alexander’s dolls from the 1950’s. Our residents learned about the founder Madame Beatrice Alexander Behrman and how her collection and interest began.
We have the pleasure of experiencing a wine trail with tastings right here in our pub once a month. Jon leads us through different countries, regions and local vineyards exploring the differences between various ports.
We had a great celebration today in The Inn. We celebrated all the birthdays in March!
What an amazing week here at The Watermark! Everyone was Irish this week in our community! We had a special themed dinner, shared irish traditions and culture and enjoyed watching local Irish dancers step dance!

The Watermark at 3030 has heart. Today to celebrate National Wear Red Day residents and associates came together to bake and raise funds for the American Heart Association and Bridgeport’s Daughters of Charity. We continue to be proud of the hard work and efforts put forth by our community members.
We are so proud of the outstanding team members working at The Watermark at 3030. Our associates are committed to providing continuing care and service to our residents. Many slept over, while others braved slippery road conditions driving and walking to work. Thank you all for your dedication and commitment!
