This is a very special November at The Watermark at 3030 Park. Not only do we have our traditional Interfaith Celebration for Thanksgiving, but we will be honoring our resident veterans and we will also be continuing our fundraising for good causes.
- This month our focus for contributing to the community will be a Food Drive for The Thomas Merton Center in Bridgeport. We will collect non-perishable food which we think is important during November, a time when we give thanks for bountiful resources and help others access these blessings.
- Veteran’s Day, which became a holiday (first known as Armistice Day) on November 11, 1919 after the end of World War I, has been celebrated as a national holiday annually since 1926. We are fortunate to have a number of men and women veterans living at The Watermark at 3030 Park. On Friday, November 9th, we will be recognizing our veterans at a special celebration with refreshments. We must all be thankful for their service.
- The wonderful Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration will be held on Wednesday, November 14th in the auditorium in the Town Center (independent living).
We hope that all of you, whether you go out with family or friends or stay here with your close circle, enjoy a peaceful and meaningful Thanksgiving!
