The Watermark at 3030 Park Independent Living community enjoyed a wonderful italian, family style dinner outing / pizza making class with family, friends and, as italian traditions go, lots of food. Along with plenty of delicious things to eat, conversation and learning were a big part of the evening…this is how we truly celebrate, live well and thrive!
Mangia, or “eat!” in english, is a term that reminds everyone that that those with italian heritage have a reputation for being gourmands. Spending a few hours enjoying Italian cuisine and making our own personal pizza at The Italian Kitchen in Fairfield exemplifies all of that and more. Dominick and his staff were so accommodating and welcoming, it was like we were family. Two residents brought their daughters along on the outing which added to the fun and made it even more special. Our incredible meal included five courses and a pizza making class! Each of us made our own personal pizza. We learned how to appropriately spread the dough to make either a thin or thick crust, then we added toppings such as sauce, cheese, sausage, pepperoni, veggies to our liking. After all our prep work Dominick cooked our pizza’s. Everyone enjoyed their handmade personal pizza!
It’s not only fun, but extremely beneficial to our well-being to take a class and learn something new…even better when good friends, family and food are involved! A truly great time was had by all- as we continue to learn and grow here at the Watermark at 3030 Park Independent Living Community!
