The Watermark at 3030 Park Knitting Group Recognized for Donation of Infant Hats

The Watermark at 3030 Park Knitting Group has been given recognition and a blessing by the St. Vincent’s Medical Center Comfort Shawl Ministry for the donation of infant hats. The Watermark at 3030 provides most of the yarn, where residents donate as well, and Bridgeport Hospital Shawl Ministry provides yarn for the shawls.

Hats, mittens, and infant hats were donated to Bridgeport Council of Churches, to local schools via a local Synagogue, to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, and St. Vincent’s Nursery. Over the past 12 years 1440 children’s hats and 576 mittens have been donated and several comfort shawls have been donated to Bridgeport Hospital. The average knitted items per year are as follows: 120 children’s hats; 48 pairs of mittens, and 40 infant hats.

Now that is something to be proud of! Great job!
