Intergenerational programs here at The Watermark at 3030 Park provide multiple positive effects during interactions with young adults. Both generations have so many interesting things to share and to teach one another. This month, we proudly hosted the buildOn Student and Resident Olympic Games. Residents from Assisted Living (The Inn), Memory Care (The Gardens), and Skilled Nursing & Rehab (The Springs) participated in a fun-filled afternoon with students from Central High School. Each student was teamed up with a resident for the events and competed to be the number one team. Games included Jeopardy, Pictionary, Balloon Volleyball, and Tower Building. To top off the afternoon, residents and students enjoyed a pizza party for lunch. During and between games, the residents shared stories and made new friends.
What a wonderful experience for all who participated in this year’s event. Congratulations to all of the winning teams!
